The GoodWe ESA Series is a comprehensive, all-in-one solar-plus-storage solution designed to streamline residential energy management. By integrating a high-performance inverter and modular battery storage into a single, pre-wired unit, the ESA Series eliminates the complexity of traditional installations, significantly reducing both labor time and the physical footprint of the system.

Plug-and-Play Modular Design: The system features a streamlined, “stackable” architecture. This pre-wired setup ensures a “plug-and-play” installation experience, making it an ideal choice for both new solar installations and retrofits.
Superior Backup Capabilities: Unlike many competitors that require an external gateway for backup power, the ESA Series features an integrated 63A bypass, providing seamless, UPS-level full-house backup. In the event of a grid failure, the system switches over in less than 10ms, ensuring that even sensitive electronics remain powered without interruption.
Flexible Scaling: The system is engineered to grow with your energy needs. It supports both 5kWh and 8kWh battery modules, which can be mixed within a single stack.

High-Efficiency Battery Performance: The modules support a 1C charging and discharging rate, meaning the battery can be fully charged or discharged in one hour, providing the high-burst power necessary for heavy appliances.
Technical Excellence & Safety
- Advanced MPPTs: Equipped with 2 to 4 Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPTs), the ESA accommodates complex roof orientations. Each MPPT supports a short-circuit input current of up to 26A, making it fully compatible with the latest generation of high-power bifacial and large-area solar modules.
- Safety First: Safety is prioritized through a 6-level hardware and software battery protection scheme. Additionally, the system includes AI-driven Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI 3.0) technology as a standard feature, which proactively detects and shuts down electrical arcs to prevent fire hazards.
- Whisper-Quiet Operation: With noise levels maintained at less than 35dB (quieter than a library), the unit is designed for unobtrusive installation near living areas or bedrooms.
Smart Energy Management
The ESA Series is fully compatible with the GoodWe SEMS (Smart Energy Management System), allowing homeowners to monitor energy production, battery health, and household consumption in real-time via a mobile app. This intelligence helps optimize “Self-Consumption” modes to minimize electricity bills or “Peak Shaving” to avoid high utility rates during evening hours.
