The HCA G2 is an EV charger built for homes that already have solar. The point of difference is its smart phase switching: it talks to your GoodWe inverter and battery and charges the car off whatever solar you’re generating, rather than just pulling from the grid. So on a sunny day you’re filling the car with power you’ve already made on the roof, not paying for it twice.
You can run it however suits you. Charge purely on solar when there’s plenty of sun, top up quickly from the grid when you’re in a hurry, or set a schedule. It’s all managed through GoodWe’s free SEMS+ app, where you can watch both your solar system and your charging in the one place and set when the car charges.
It comes in three versions to match your supply: a 7kW single-phase model, and 11kW or 22kW three-phase models. It charges any branded EV, has dynamic load control so it won’t overload your switchboard, and includes an external emergency shutdown switch. With an IP66 rating it handles full sun and rain, and it mounts on a wall or a pole, indoors or out.
