Jinko Tiger Neo III 475W All Black Solar Panel

The Tiger Neo III 475W is Jinko’s all-black panel built on N-type TOPCon cells. The all-black finish is the draw for a lot of people: black cells, black frame, black backing, so it sits flat and uniform on the roof instead of showing the silver grid lines and white gaps you get on a standard panel. If the look of your roof matters, this is the version to ask for.

It doesn’t trade performance for the appearance, though. At 475W it runs 23.77% efficiency, which is high for a residential panel and means you fit more generation into the same roof space. The N-type TOPCon cells also hold up better in the heat (the temperature coefficient is -0.26%/°C, better than most panels) and pull more out of cloudy mornings and late afternoons than older designs, so you get a more even yield across the day and across the year.

It’s a tough panel. Rather than a plastic backing, it uses a dual-glass build with heat-strengthened glass front and back, which seals the cells better and stands up to UV, moisture, and salt air over the long haul. It’s rated to handle front loads up to 5400Pa and rear loads up to 2400Pa, and the junction box is IP68 rated against dust and water. Degradation is low: 1% in the first year, then 0.35% a year after that, with the panel guaranteed to still produce 88.85% of its rated output at 30 years.

Jinko backs it with a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, and the module is Clean Energy Council listed, which matters for rebate eligibility in Australia.
