The Gen 3 Wall Connector is Tesla’s home charger, and the 7.3m cable is the longer of the two cable options, so you’ve got room to reach the car wherever it parks without worrying about which side the charge port sits on.
It adds up to 71km of range per hour, which means most cars are topped up overnight without you thinking about it. It works on both single and three phase power, and the amperage can be set to suit your switchboard, so it fits a wide range of homes. The handle senses when you grab it and opens the charge port for you.
You manage everything from the Tesla app, where you can set charging schedules, watch your usage, and let it pull over-the-air updates over Wi-Fi. It’s built for indoor or outdoor mounting, so it’s fine on an exposed carport or garage wall. If you’ve got more than one car or you’re fitting out a few bays, up to six units can power-share off the same supply.
It has to be installed by a licensed electrician, and it comes with a four-year warranty for residential use.
